Please join us for TCYLA's upcoming in-person CLE Luncheon at Reata as we welcome Martin Garcia of Simplified Title Company presenting: “Texas Title Commitments…It’s as Easy as A, B, C!”  This presentation will also be simulcast to members who are either unable or not ready to attend in person, and the recording will be made available on the TCYLA website. 

Mr. Garcia’s presentation is intended for Escrow Officers, Escrow Assistants, Real Estate Attorneys, and Real Estate Brokers and Agents and reviews how to read the contents of the contents of the T-7 form of title commitment, examines the contents and information contained on Schedules A, B and C and the purpose for each.  It also includes a discussion of Covered Matters, Exclusions and Conditions on the title policy jacket, and how these are affected by the information contained on the Schedules to the Commitment. 

Mr. Garcia is a practicing attorney and the owner of Simplified Title Company.  Martin attended Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth and graduated Magna Cum Laude, with Honors, with a Bachelor of Arts in 2009. Martin also attended Texas Wesleyan School of Law (now known as Texas A&M School of law) in downtown Fort Worth and graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2012.  In addition to closing escrow and issuing title insurance, Martin is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas and helps his clients with legal document preparation and other real estate legal matters. Martin helps his clients determine the best course of action for protecting their real estate assets in estate planning and business formation.
