Paula Giaimo Morales has been the Tarrant County Jury Services Jury Bailiff/Administrator since 2005.  After graduating from Texas Christian University in 1990 with Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, she served with the Tarrant County Jury Services and the Tarrant County Courts Probation Office.  In total, she has been employed with at Tarrant County for over 30 years.  Jury services were not automated when she first started.  Her team worked with IT professionals to develop an award-winning automated system.  In 2007, she seamlessly upgraded Tarrant County’s legacy system to our current web-based application.  She worked with a vendor to create the online panel assignment function for Tarrant County’s jury application.  Implementing online panel assignments has saved Tarrant County more than 1.2 million dollars to date.  Because of the experienced she gained in this process, she now assists other Texas counties with their jury management processes.

Christian Martinez is an associate in Kelly Hart’s Litigation section.  Mr. Martinez earned his J.D., cum laude, from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2021 and served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Texas A&M Journal of Property Law.  He graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.A., cum laude, in Economics and Political Science.  While in law school, Mr. Martinez was a member of the Latinx Law Student Association and interned for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

In-Person CLE Lunch
Tuesday, September 20, 2022 | 12:00 pm CST

Reata Restaurant | 310 Houston St., Fort Worth, TX 76102

Please join us on September 20, 2022 for TCYLA's CLE Luncheon at Reata as we welcome Dr. Frank Liberti of Case Audit Settlement Evaluation, LLC, presenting: “Managing and Winning Personal Injury Claims.”

With over three decades as keynote speaker, Dr. Liberti has dedicated his work to show attorneys how to prevent lowball settlements, even in the presence of unfair claims tactics. His view is radically different. Dr. Liberti appreciates and shares with attorneys, that fighting back against unfair claims tactics is most effective when you use the insurance companies own strategies against them. The insurance companies hired consultants who created “Procedural Intelligence Codes” that determine settlement value. Yet since 2004, they continue to ignore a Superior Court order to release the codes. Dr. Liberti reveals how to use the insurance company’s codes against them and prevent unfair, lowball settlements.

In addition to his speaking skills, Dr. Liberti is a consultant and has had over fifteen thousand legal and medical professionals attend his seminars on personal injury. If you select him as a speaker for your group, you will make many plaintiff attorneys very happy. Dr. Liberti is also Founder and President of the National Accident Victim Advocate Group (www.4accidenthelp. com), founder of Case Audit Settlement Evaluation, LLC and CEO of the Spinal Aid Centers of America National Franchise.

Since 2011 he has worked in a coordinated effort with Attorney’s and Physicians’ input to produce the Liberator2 EMR and Demand Producer Software System, which after 3 years of BETA testing is now being professionally released nationally. The project was specifically designed to assist attorneys to use the procedural intelligence codes to prevent unfair claims practices by the Insurance Companies and has been Real World tested and is successful. It is made available at no cost to those attorneys who agree to provide case testimonials during a limited professional release period occurring now.  Learn more about Dr. Liberti at his website: http://www.drfrankliberti.com/index.php.

This presentation will be offered in-person at Reata and the presentation will be recorded and uploaded to the TCYLA E-Community for later viewing.

Volunteer with TCYLA - Teen Court
Tuesdays | 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Fort Worth Municipal Court

1000 Throckmorton St., Fort Worth, TX 76102

Teen Court is a voluntary program that allows teens to perform community service and jury duty in lieu of paying fines for citations received from the City of Fort Worth. Successful completion of Teen Court results in dismissal of the citation and a clean record. Participants plead their case before a teen jury, the members of which then determine the appropriate community service hours to be performed within a three-month period.
TCYLA is encouraging its members to sign up to volunteer. Teen Court is in need of volunteers with
experience or training in the judicial/legal field to assist with training teen attorneys and to preside as judges for Teen Court hearings.

Apply to volunteer here. For questions, please reach out to John Easter.
